Al W. Johnson is a career litigator, having tried
over sixty jury trials and hundreds of non-jury trials. Mr.
Johnson grew up in West Des Moines, Iowa.
He earned his undergraduate degree at the University
of Missouri in public administration in 1973. Mr. Johnson
returned to his alma mater to attend law school in 1978 and graduated
in 1981. For his first year following graduation, Mr. Johnson
worked as a law clerk under the Honorable David Noce, United States
Federal Magistrate.
Between 1982 and 1990 Mr. Johnson worked as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in St. Louis County under George "Buzz" Westfall, as a trial staff member handling numerous major criminal prosecutions. In 1990 he became an associate with the St. Louis County firm of Belz & Beckemeier. Mr. Johnson started his own practice in 1995 as The Law Offices of Al W. Johnson. In 2001, Mr. Johnson was honored by Missouri Lawyer's Weekly as one of Missouri's ten Attorneys of the Year. He is also licensed to practice in the State of Illinois. |
